The Easter studio tour of artist J. Kirk Richards is this FRIDAY & SATURDAY, 6PM - 9PM both nights, instead of Thursday & Friday as originally scheduled. I can only guess that the days were changed because BYU graduation is both Thursday and Friday.
Women's Conference is happening the NEXT weekend at BYU -April 28th and 29th (Thurs. & Fri.)
As part of this event, the Bookstore on campus will be hosting several authors and artists visits at certain times. Click HERE for the schedule.
Three of the authors write children and YA books:
The Children's Book Festival at Provo City Library will actually begin FRIDAY night (May 6th at 7PM) with a lecture by the Guest of Honor, author and illustrator Yuyi Morales. Saturday will be the main event day BUT the times have changed to 12PM - 4PM.
The Utah Festival of Books on BYU campus is now only ONE day -Saturday June 4th (from 10AM - 6PM). Originally there was to be a "kick-off" party that Friday night but I guess there was nobody to do the kicking.
That is IT for now. I hope that you can attend some of these events!
(P.S. The Banjo Pigs Exhibit (Guy Francis & Friends) is still on display at the Terra Nova Gallery, Downtown Provo until April 29th)
((OH! And did you know that every Wednesday morning at 11AM the BYU Bookstore holds a Children's Story Time downstairs? They even have a special nook for it!))
