In the meantime, why not check out this great Kickstarter campaign for a monster themed look-n-find book from the awesome Jess Smart Smiley (creator of Upside Down: A Vampire Tale)?

Moving & Stuffs!
Posts have been scarce because my wee one and I, and Moon our cat, are moving to California in a few days. My husband, B, has been away since the beginning of December for Air Force Basic Training in Texas and now language school in Monterey, CA. It's been awesome to hang out with Wee, just the two of us, but it'll be nice to be all together as a family again. There's been a lot to plan and prepare in the meantime! The huge thing that took up most of my time during these months was the LTUE symposium (like, a crazy stressful amount) but since that's been over I've been organizing the move--lots of government people to call and forms to sign, etc.--and perhaps strangely, getting several recipes out of my system. Hence the new Food Adventures blog. Cooking and baking is therapeutic to me. There's a beginning, middle, and end in a relatively short period of time and I can focus on it and see and show and devour (I mean share) my end product. It's nice. But now is crackin' time because the movers are coming on Monday! So I'll be MIA from dear Book Adventures for another week or two. I'm looking forward to new adventures in CA and discovering the authors in the area! So stay tuned! And thanks for your patience.

I'm totally loving it! It's most often very chilly where we are, but it's beautiful and a great area!
