The Week in Review & A Look Ahead

The Week in Review:

I reached the 50,000 word goal for National Novel Writing Month on Nov. 30th! I'm so excited! Now to actually finish the book.

The last showing of The Princess & the Goblin play (based on the book by George MacDonald) was on Thursday evening at the Orem library.

(Library director Gene Nelson, me, & Courtney.
CP is back there on the right)
Friday, Dec. 2nd was the fantabulous Christopher Paolini lecture at the Provo City Library (he wrote the YA fantasy series The Inheritance Cycle). The even was INCREDIBLE! And SO MANY people came! I bet the library was so proud. And a lot of us dressed up! Christopher even did a cartwheel at the end. It was so cool. I'll do a feature on the event soon. (And can I just say that Courtney Lowe's costume was amazing? What if the dragon Saphira was turned into a human [Shmendrick the magician style, like from The Last Unicorn]? Now we know [see photo on right]. I totally want to start a Courtney Lowe fan club. Who's with me? {I'm serious, guys})

LDS author Angel Randall signed her book Snow Angels, illustrated by Brandon Dorman (who is also LDS), on Saturday at 3:30 PM at Deseret Book in Orem.
